We are pleased to announce that the Thailand chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG): Digital Business Laws and Regulations 2026 has now been published by Global Legal Group.
The chapter provides an up-to-date overview of Thailand’s legal and regulatory framework governing digital business operations, including e-commerce regulation, data protection, cybersecurity, online payments, digital platform compliance, cloud infrastructure, and evolving regulatory trends affecting businesses operating in Thailand’s digital economy.
This year’s edition reflects the increasing regulatory complexity facing digital businesses in Thailand, particularly in relation to the Royal Decree on Digital Platform Services, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), consumer protection requirements, cybersecurity obligations, and growing scrutiny over platform accountability and fair competition practices.
The Thailand chapter was contributed by John Formichella, Naytiwut Jamallsawat, Onnicha Khongthon, and Supitchaya Akeyati, drawing on practical experience advising both domestic and international clients across technology, e-commerce, media, telecoms, cloud services, and digital platform operations.
As Thailand’s digital regulatory environment continues to evolve, the chapter offers practical guidance for businesses navigating market entry, operational compliance, consumer-facing obligations, and cross-border digital service models.
The chapter is free to access online via ICLG at ICLG Thailand Digital Business Laws and Regulations 2026 or below via embedded PDF
